One of the most important requirements in the CG industry is the speed. And nothing can help you better your speed than speed painting. You get the topic or the pose, and then you get 3 hours to draw your masterpiece from scratch. You have to work on an idea, composition, silhouettes, shadows, ambient occlusion, colors. And make sure it looks finished. When you have the time limit, you get really focused on what you are really lucking in other moments. I really advise you guys and myself to do more speed paintings.
One time I also decided to participate in 3 days fight. When you have an opponent and one topic. And yes, there is a challenge who would make it better.
This kind of challenges improve you really well, and then you can see what do people like more. It is important if you are planning to work with different customers.

DeleteNice artwork. Impressive how much can be done is such a short amount of time. I have never done such challenge. When i start a project i am fully dedicated to it and i am often caught in detailing every tiny part of it even if its not necessary. Maybe i should try this method.
